1. ABOUT THIS POLICY
Drone Jet Services Pty Ltd, ABN 39 694 752 380 ("Drone Jet Services", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and in the course of providing our services, how we use and store it, and how you can contact us about it.
Drone Jet Services is a small business with an annual turnover of $3 million or less. Businesses of this size are generally not required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, unless a specific exception applies. Based on our current activities, we do not consider any of those exceptions to apply to us. Regardless, we choose to handle personal information responsibly and in accordance with this Policy, and consistent with good privacy practice.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions of Service, which separately addresses photographs, video and job documentation captured in the course of performing our services.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you contact us, request a quote or otherwise enquire about our services, we may collect:
• your name
• email address and phone number
• business or company name
• the property or service address
• details about the service you require
• photographs, videos or other materials you provide to help us assess or quote the work; and
• any other information you choose to give us when requesting a quote or communicating with us.
Our website does not currently use analytics or advertising technology, and does not process online payments. If you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as your IP address) as a standard part of how websites operate, for security and technical purposes.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use your information to:
• respond to enquiries and quote requests
• assess proposed work and service requirements
• prepare and provide quotations
• schedule and perform services
• communicate with you about your enquiry or job
• maintain business and service records; and
• meet applicable legal, regulatory, safety and insurance requirements.
4. PROPERTY INFORMATION, PHOTOS & VIDEOS
Photographs, videos, plans, measurements, property details or other materials you provide, or that we capture while performing the services, are used for quoting, job planning, safety assessment and delivery of our services, consistent with clause 19 of our Terms & Conditions of Service.
We will not intentionally publish client-supplied photographs, videos or confidential property information for advertising or promotional purposes without your permission.
5. COOKIES, ANALYTICS & ONLINE ADVERTISING
Our website does not currently use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or advertising or remarketing tools (such as Meta Pixel), and does not currently set cookies for those purposes.
If we introduce analytics or online advertising tools in the future, we will update this Policy before doing so to explain what is used, what information it collects, and, where required by law, how you can manage your preferences.
6. DIRECT MARKETING
If we send you marketing communications by email or SMS (as opposed to a direct response to your enquiry), we will do so in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), which applies regardless of business size. This means we will only send marketing messages with your consent, will clearly identify Drone Jet Services as the sender, and will include a functioning way to unsubscribe or opt out. You may opt out of marketing communications from us at any time.
7. SERVICE PROVIDERS & DISCLOSURE
We store client photographs, job information and related files using Google Drive, a third-party cloud storage service. We may also disclose personal information to other service providers who reasonably assist us in operating our business, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
8. OVERSEAS STORAGE
Some of the service providers we use, including our cloud storage provider, operate international infrastructure and may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but we do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy and security practices of those providers' own systems.
9. DATA SECURITY & RETENTION
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, safety, insurance or record-keeping requirements.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including social media platforms. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and Drone Jet Services is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites or services.
11. ACCESS, CORRECTION & COMPLAINTS
You may contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to request that we correct it. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable time.
